Clean Save America wants its neighbors and customers in Metro Atlanta to know what it's doing to protect the environment and reduce solid waste through its sale of NviroClean Spill Remediation family of products.
A fundamental part of Clean Save America’s commitment to the environment includes participation in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) innovative WasteWise program, the country's first national voluntary solid waste reduction program. WasteWise encourages organizations to reduce municipal solid waste through waste prevention, recycling, and buying or manufacturing recycled products. WasteWise partners have saved thousands, even millions of dollars in purchasing costs and waste disposal fees by reducing, reusing, and recycling solid waste materials.
As a WasteWise member, we are required to establish three new waste prevention activities, expand or improve our current recycling efforts, and purchase and/or manufacture additional products with recycled content. The programs we initiate as part of our participation in WasteWise will build on the successes of our established waste reduction and recycling efforts. A major thrust of WasteWise is waste prevention/reduction—actions that minimize or eliminate the generation of waste before it is created & choosing the right product to pick up spills once they occur—with the goal of decreasing the amount of material that must be recycled or thrown away into our landfills.
According to Renee Keeton, Owner of Clean Save America, "Through WasteWise we plan to help educate our customers about lowering the amount of waste that they produce so that they too can participate in the WasteWise program. Clean Save America will help customers reduce disposal costs thus helping keep more than is necessary waste from filling up our landfills and demonstrate Clean Save America's commitment to preserve natural resources and protect the environment. NviroClean's ability to reduce landfill waste by 20 times is huge and will reduce landfill waste immediately." [Use of the Wastewise logo does not imply EPA endorsement.]
The WasteWise program has a broad and varied membership that reflects the makeup of corporate America. More than 1,100 organizations have joined WasteWise since 1994, demonstrating their leadership in finding cost-effective ways to reduce waste. WasteWise partners include many of the country's leading manufacturers, retailers, and service firms, spanning more than 50 different industry sectors. The program also services federal, state and local governments, tribes, and other non-corporate institutions.
The amount of waste you have may seem small to you, but consider that a single quart of used motor oil can contaminate 250,000 gallons of drinking water. By placing items in landfills eventually leads to their ingredients, such as heavy metals and poisons, leaching into the ground or being incinerated and entering the air.
Joining WasteWise is another example of Clean Save America's continued commitment to improving our environment. For more information on our WasteWise plans, contact Renee Keeton at 770-369-7029 or email@example.com
